Belwood Boy Scout Troop #413 shares garden's bounty

The Belwood Boy Scout Troop 413 recently delivered fresh vegetables to the Farmer Foodshare Donation Station at the Foothills Farmer's Market in Uptown Shelby. The Troop planted a garden with the help of the Belwood Extension Club at their Scout Hut. The Scouts have harvested 483 pounds of vegetables. The fresh produce has been distributed to U-Can Food Pantry in Lawndale, the Congregate Meals at Palm Tree United Methodist Church in Lawndale, The Lord Provides Soup Kitchen in Belwood, and to senior citizens in the community.
Great work Scouts!
