Bengy Dwayne Howell, age 54 of Martin Rd. passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte.

He was born August 14, 1967 in Gaston County to Quay and Judy Turner Howell. Bengy was a 1986 graduate of Bessemer City High School and a graduate of Gaston College. He was an electrical lineman. Bengy was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed bodybuilding, the beach, and fishing. He also loved visiting with friends. His life was ended too soon after a long battle with Covid. Bengy will forever be missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Quay and Judy Howell; daughters, Brooke Davis and husband, TJ, and Heather Black; sister, Dena Howell Bridges and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Jayden and Landon Davis, Keara and Aiden Dills; nieces, Elizabeth Bridges King and husband, Chuck, and Stephanie Bridges; and great nephew, Robinson King.

A private graveside service will be held at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
