Benita Green Whisnant, 84 of Polkville passed away, Wednesday, August 15,
2018 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born October 22, 1933 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Zeb Green and Mozelle Lee Green. She worked for Dr. Gerald Lutz, a Dentist
in Fallston and was a homemaker. Mrs. Whisnant was a lifelong member of
Polkville United Methodist Church, the church choir and the United Methodist
Women.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John O.
Whisnant; a daughter, Pamela Martin and two sisters, Janie Floyd and Diane
Green.

Survivors include a daughter, Terry Hubbard and husband, Jimmy of Hollis;
son-in-law, Michael Martin of Belmont; three grandchildren, Jeremy Martin of
Charleston, SC; Julie Martin of Bessemer City and Justin Hubbard of Hollis.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Friday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home.

A funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday at Polkville United Methodist
Church with Rev. Bill Lovelace and Rev. Ed Lee officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
