Benny Alvin Barclift Jr., 90, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Atrium Health Cleveland.

Born in Decatur, AL he was the son of the late Benny Alvin Barclift Sr. and Gladys Hansell. Ben served in the Army and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was a loving husband and father who will be missed by anyone who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Bob and Ed Barclift; and step-son, Steve Clay. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Kathy Barclift of the home; sons, Benny Barclift III of Las Vegas, NV, Chuck (Shelia) of Fort Mill, SC and Mike (Christy) of Denver, NC; granddaughters, Ashleigh and Tiffany Barclift and Samantha Clay; grandsons, Michael Barclift, Lee Barclift (Danielle) and Steve Clay; great-grandchildren, Tyce and Taizley Barclift. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Cleveland Memorial Park, with the Rev. Dr. Tim Sims officiating. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church.
