Mrs. Bessie Crosby Littlejohn, 98 of Shelby, NC passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at her residence. She was born on July 10, 1928 in Fairfield County, SC to the late George Crosby and the late Rose Thompson Crosby.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Crosby; her mother, Rosanne Thompson-Crosby; four sisters and five brothers; her son, Andy Littlejohn; her granddaughter, Nicole Littlejohn; her great grandson, Trejan Crosby.

Ms. Bessie is survived by her brother, George "Ed" (Et) Crosby; children, Lillie Crosby, Alberta Littlejohn, Rev. James "Bobo" Littlejohn (Pastor Esther Littlejohn), Johnnie Littlejohn, Bobby Littlejohn, and Sara Littlejohn.; grandchildren, Micheal Crosby, Tony Thompson, Tyrone Thompson, Tyler Littlejohn, Toi Littlejohn, Malisa Littlejohn, Chrissy Littlejohn-Brown (Sherwin), and Lionel Littlejohn; great grandchildren, Taylor Crosby (Ashley), Micheal Lee Crosby, Serenity Crosby, Summer Crosby, Keona Littlejohn-Brown (Rico), Jamal Craig, Kweli Huskey-Littlejohn, Charis Brown, Tyrish Littlejohn, Atalya Littlejohn, Anyla Littlejohn, Garivsan Littlejohn Jr. ; great-great grandchildren, Taylen Crosby, Taylor Crosby Jr, Tanner Crosby, Kade Crosby Addison Brown, Averleigh Brown, Ezra Baker, Majay Thompson, Tykee Watson, and Zahria Thompson; and many other relatives.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Earl. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
