Betty Ann Huffman Richard, 74 of Stamey Road, Fallston, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Peak Resources in Gastonia.

Born in Cherokee County, SC on April 4, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Huffman, Jr. and Faye Black Huffman. She was retired from McMurray Fabrics. Ms. Richard was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was the catcher for the Cleveland County Golden Girls.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Wylie, Peggy Gantt and Joan Evans.

Survivors include her significant other, Dannie Biddix of the home; two sons, John Barry Richard and wife, Necole of Shelby and Daniel Scott Richards of Cherryville; brother, Hugh Huffman of Earl; four grandchildren, Brittany Jones and husband, Chris, Tylor Richard, Zackary Richard and wife, Savannah and Marrisa Hodge and husband, Jon and extended family, Brandy Grissom and husband, Dan and Dannie Biddix, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
