CHESNEE, SC: Betty Grigg Smith, 68, died Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born in Savannah, GA, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Mary Futch Grigg. Betty worked in textiles and loved her family tremendously. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Smith; and son, Donny Gene Bryant. She is survived by her daughter, Keisha Bond of Chesnee; daughter-in-law, Lisa Bryant of Chesnee sister, Brenda Fulbright and husband Jr. of Blacksburg; brother, Ronald Grigg and wife Kaye of Shelby; grandchildren, Dustin Bryant and wife Brittany, Joshua Bryant and girlfriend Tori Lee, Breana Bryant and boyfriend Johnathan Gregory, Leann Bond and husband Zach Pethtel, Dakota Bond and Zaine Bryant; and great-grandchildren, Madiison Bryant, Gracyn Bryant, Raelynn Bryant, Kyla Gregory, Teagan Gregory, Layton Bryant, Alahna Bryant, and Creed Gregory. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00am, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
