Betty Jean Morrison Trammel, age 88 of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

She is survived by two stepchildren, David Trammel and Scotty Trammel and numerous nieces and nephews. Born May 20, 1934 in Cleveland County, NC, Betty was the daughter of the late Charlie and Alpha Hamrick Morrison and was preceded death by her husband, W.C. Trammel, five sisters, Eunice Parker, Mary Frances Holland, Sarah Lou Swink, Gladys McSwain, and Ruby Weaver and a brother, Pete Morrison.

Betty was a faithful member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, puzzles, plastic canvases, and spending time with her family and friends.

The family would like to express a sincere thanks to Hazel Thrift-Morrow, her niece, for the loving care she gave Betty during her last years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Rock Springs Baptist Church, 1184 Rocksprings Road, Blacksburg, SC conducted by Rev. Joseph McGaha and Rev. Dale Welch. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
