Betty "Jean" Robbins

Betty "Jean" Robbins, 80, died Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Atrium Health North East.

Born in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late Devon and Mattie Absher Triplett. Jean worked in healthcare with R.E.A.C.H for over 30 years and was an active and faithful member of Kings Mountain Assembly Church. She was a beloved grandmother affectionately known as "Memaw." Jean was also a valued caregiver to her special needs grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael, Red and Timothy Triplett. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Dean Robbins; son, Phillip Robbins and wife Candice of Chicago; daughter, Julie Robbins-Query of Concord; sister, Brenda Rich and husband L.J.; brothers, Ken Triplett and Joey Triplett and wife Mary, all of Lenior; and grandchildren, Ava Robbins, Caden Robbins-Query, Charlotte and Olivia Robbins.

Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Friday, February 18, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel in Kings Mountain, with Pastor Bill Clark officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Grover Cemetery.
