Betty Jo Ingle Canipe, 84, of Fairview Church Road, Lincolnton, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Brian Center - Lincolnton.

Born in Lincoln County, NC on June 3, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Thurman Coy Ingle and Neva Taylor Ingle. Mrs. Canipe was a member of Hull's Grove Baptist Church and she was retired from Cochrane Furniture.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clinton Canipe; a brother, Dale Ingle and two sisters, Helen Withers and Olivia Canipe.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Bollinger of Maiden; Brenda Harris and husband, Andrew of Cherryville and Rita Gantt and husband, David of Vale; a sister, Hazel Ingle of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, David Lee Setzer and Tammy Bollinger and one great-grandchild, Jesse Lee Bollinger and three great-great grandchildren, Isabella, Carter and Kiley.

Mrs. Canipe will lie in state from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A private graveside service will be held at Hull's Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.
