Betty Lee Hancock Beattie

Betty Lee Hancock Beattie, 91, of 711 Meadowbrook Road entered into rest on August 7, 2022, at home.

Betty was born December 5, 1930, in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late George William Hancock Sr., and Audrey Ruth Carroll Hancock.

She was a mother and grandmother. She always loved to garden and plant her flowers. She was retired from Anvil Knitwear, and a member of Waco Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband Lemuel D. Beattie and son Charles S. Beattie.

She is survived by her children Priscilla D. Fletcher and husband Gerald B. Fletcher, Christy B. Scruggs and husband David L. Scruggs, and Julie B. Sipe, and daughter in law Desiree Beattie.

Grandchildren: Brent Fletcher, Sherry Hobby and husband Scott hobby, Rodney Fletcher, Brad Fletcher and wife Lacey Fletcher, Michelle Hood, Monica Beattie, Jeffery Beattie and wife Christine Beattie, Coty Scruggs, Leah Sheppard and husband Wt Sheppard, Stephen Sipe and wife Dana Sipe, Lee Sipe.

Great Grandchildren: Janie Caudle and Husband Cody Caudle, Amy Hobby, Charles Hobby, Jacob Fletcher, Chloe Fletcher, Kevin Hood, Kyle Hood, Ashley Hood, Isabella Palmier, Anthony Palmier, Lucas Beattie, Maverick Scruggs, Dylan Duncan, Madison Sipe, Kelsy Pitts.

Great Great Grandchild: Haydin Hobby

There will be a Celebration Of Life for her on August 13, 2022 from 1p.m.- 3p.m. at her home 711 Meadowbrook road, Kings Moutain, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations to City Of Kings Mountain power and water services would be greatly appreciated.
