Betty Lee Shalp Martin, 71 of Flat Rock Drive, Lincolnton, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at her residence.

Born in Cleveland County, NC January 25, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Raymond John Thomas Grover Shalp and Bessie Lee Green Shalp.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Shalp and Thomas Shalp and two sisters, Vergie Sanders and Helen Ledbetter.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Burl Kenneth Martin; two sons, James Cody of Shelby and Kenneth Martin and wife, Angie of Cherryville; three daughters, Jeannie Lail and husband, Thomas of Waco, Innette Sisk and husband, Tony of Bessemer City and Donna Shannon and husband, Ricky of Lincolnton; sister, Linda Shalp of Shelby; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm Monday, August 15, 2022 at Harvest Time Assembly, 904 2nd Street, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Harvest Time Assembly with Revs. John Johnson and Sheila Grigg officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Martin Cemetery.
