Betty Neil Walker, age 76 of Boiling Springs, died at Kings Mountain Hospice House.

Born in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Carey Lynch Walker and Velma Greene Walker.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Billy Gene Walker and Jackie Moore Walker.  She graduated from Boiling Springs High School and Gardner-Webb Junior College.  Betty worked for many years and retired from Dallas, NC School for Disabled Children. She also sold Avon Products in the Boiling Springs area.  She was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. 

She is survived by a sister-in-law Mary Kate Walker of Ridgeland, MS; nephews Chris Ramsey and wife Trish of Ridgeland MS, Carey Walker and wife Crea of Ireland; niece, Michelle Gamarsh and husband Scott of Myrtle Beach, SC; and many loving nieces and nephews and extended family members.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church.  Dr. Carroll will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00pm prior to the service in the Life Enrichment Center at the church.
