Betty Sue Mauney Nelson, age 82, passed away Sunday August 28, 2022.
A native of Cleveland county, she was born March 13, 1940, daughter of the late Henry Webb and Bessie Ann Cogdell Mauney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Nelson, one son; Charles Ray Nelson, four brothers; CW Mauney, Jim Mauney, Forrest Mauney, and Norman Mauney, two sisters; Vernie Wall and Rachel Mauney.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by one son; Mark Nelson and one daughter; Janet Nelson both of the home, two brothers; Bill Mauney, Ralph Mauney and wife Debbie.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Shelby and retired from the former Kemet Industries.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday September 1st, 2022 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Tom Runyon. A visitation will be held inside the church from 12-12:45 pm on the same day prior to the service.
