Betty Sue Wood Stafford Scism, 79, of Taylor Rd., Shelby, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland.
Born in Cleveland County, on June 6, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee Wood and Thelma Wood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Stafford; second husband, Ray Scism; special friend, Andrew Blevins and sister-in-law, Gail Wood.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Stafford and wife, Rita and Mark Stafford and wife, Phyllis all of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Regina Bright and husband, David and Denita Warren and husband, Randy all of Shelby; brother, Bob Wood of Shelby; sister, Peggy Howell and husband Roger of Cherryville; five grandchildren, Travis Blanton, Brandon Stafford, Brad Oaks, Casey Stafford and Megan Stafford Dodrill and husband, Matt; 4 great grandchildren, Sean Blanton, Isaiah Dodrill, Carolina Dodrill and Ellowen Dodrill and a special pet, Sissy.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Bame officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery.
