Betty Ware Brown
 SHELBY – Mrs. Betty Ware Brown, 75, of 802 E. Marion St., died Tues., Sept. 25, 2012 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.  A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late George and Lena Wilkerson Ware.  She worked as the credit manager for over 20 years with A.V. Wray and Sons, later retiring after several years with Baxter Corporation.  She was a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church, where she loved to play the piano, sing, and was the former choir director and church secretary.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Bobby Bridges, and Thomas Crawford Long.

SURVIVED:  She is survived by her husband, Dr. James Edward Brown, of the home; two sons, Danny Bridges and wife Robin of Boiling Springs, David Bridges and wife Melody of Mooresboro; brother, Richard Ware and wife Elaine of Tx; six grandchildren, Rock Lane of Boiling Springs, James Daniel Bridges II of Shelby, Bobby Bridges of NY, Patrick Lane of Mooresboro, Preston Lane of Shelby, and Bryan Bridges of Charlotte.

SERVICES:  Funeral services will be Friday, 1pm, at Westwood Heights Baptist Church

VISITATION:  The family will receive friends 6-7:30pm, Wednesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
