Beulah Faye Byers Mitchell

Beulah Faye Byers Mitchell, 79, born to the late James and Inez Roberts Byers, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, NC.

She was born in Cleveland County, NC, on May 20, 1945.
Ms. Mitchell was a member of Green Bethel Baptist Church. She remained a faithful member until her health declined; having served even in declining health as a member of the Missionary Ministry and a Vacation Bible School teacher. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
After retiring from Cone Mills, Hanes Plant in Caroleen, NC, she was employed with Lil Busy Bees Day Care until it closed. She loved helping and working with the children there. Mrs. Mitchell was such a loving and compassionate person, especially towards her family, and she had a special love for her sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Dean Mitchell; siblings, Eula Mae Mitchell, Alma Sarratt, Annie Hardin, John Byers, J.C. Byers, Bruce Byers, Joe Byers, Billy Gene Byers, and Charles Byers; and a niece reared in the home, Vivian Jamerson.
She leaves precious memories to her children, George Mitchell (Ann) of Mooresboro, NC and Billie Mitchell of Boiling Springs, NC; grandchildren, Dustin Mitchell, Latoya Anderson (Keith); five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters in law, Elizabeth Mitchell and Edna Mae Mitchell; brother in law, James Sarratt; special friend, Ann Hickman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Green Bethel Baptist Church at 12 noon, with burial in the church cemetery.
