Bill Buchynski, age 67, of Forest City, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at his residence.
Bill was born July 21, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York and was the son of the late Bolleswa Buchynski and Patricia Cox Buchynski. He was a college professor for most of his life and most recently taught at Isothermal Community College. Bill travelled extensively and had a world of knowledge which was admired by many. He also was an actor for the Rutherford County Arts Council and played many roles in local theater productions. Bill had a love for music and was a disc jockey for WNCW. His many talents and jovial spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Patricia "Cookie" Awad of Staten Island, NY; two nieces, Kimberly Awad-Fiordaliso and husband, John of Oldbridge, New Jersey and Jeniffer Acanfora also of Staten Island; a special friend, Beverly Bailey of Forest City and five great-nieces and nephews, Zackery Kennedy, Tyler Kennedy, Alexa Scilabra, Austin Scilabra and Ava Scilabra.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Travis Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
