Bill Edwin Parker, age 77, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at White Oak Manor in Shelby, NC. Born in Dodge County, GA, on October 16, 1947, he was the son of the late Alta Mae Harrell Parker and James Charles Parker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Clayton, Pauline, Faye, Lila, Linda, and Marie.

Bill was a longtime member of Union Baptist Church in Shelby. He retired from BellSouth after a dedicated career as a technician.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Blauvelt Parker; his daughters, Keturah Parker and Brianne Waitzman (Samuel); grandchildren, Mykala Pressley, Tatum Pressley, and Nash Pressley; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon Stiles and Brody Carpenter.

Also left to cherish his memory are his children from his first marriage, Eddie Parker and Kim Parker, and their children; his sister, Joan Stephens; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Union Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
