Bill "Joe Bill" Beheler, age 94, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Hospice House in Forest City.
Born May 21, 1923 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Romey Beheler and Della Honeycutt Beheler. He worked for Pike Electric for many years and was a farmer most of his life. In his later years he worked for Holland's Used Cars as a car hauler. Bill's life's passion was farming and working on anything mechanical. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years Betty Jo Tipton Beheler; five brothers and five sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Debbie Gowan of Sandy Mush; three sons, Billy Beheler of Rutherfordton, Mike Beheler and wife, Susan of Forest City and Bobby Beheler also of Sandy Mush. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service for the family will be conducted at Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
