Billy Howard Epley

Billy Howard Epley, "Paw Paw Bill", age 90, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Bill was born Sunday, May 15, 1932 in Rutherford County to the late Ray Davis Epley and Fannie Belle Towery Epley. He worked as a foreman for Pepsi-Cola for twenty-five years and worked in the motorcycle sales and service industry for over sixty years. During that time, he was the owner and operator of E & H Honda Motorcycles Sales and Service for forty-one years in Forest City. Bill was a member of Henrietta First Baptist Church and enjoyed building and painting dirt track race cars. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. Bill spent most of his time at the Honda shop and worked right up until his hospitalization. He loved his church, family, friends and customers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-seven years, Georgia Lee Epley; daughter, Malinda Hoyle; brothers, Clarence Ray Epley, William Arnold Epley and grandsons, Billy Harold Epley and infant, Shawn Wayne Mullinax.

Left to cherish fond memories of "Paw Paw" are his daughter, Susan Callahan Ledford (Mitch) and a son, Howard Epley (Lisa) all of Forest City; grandchildren, Frankie Mullinax (Kimberly), Jimmy Callahan (Amber), Nadia Osment (Chris), LeighAndrea Rodak (Brandon), Makesha Sisk (Mike), Kara Stafford (Wayne), Curtis Epley, Shannon Parker, Sara Hoyle (Thomas), twenty-five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 26th at Henrietta First Baptist Church with Reverend James Johnson and Reverend Wayne Stafford officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 28th at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The body will lie in state from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service at the graveside.
