Concord - Mr. Billy Leo Nail, 91, formerly of Cherryville, passed away on
Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Gardens-Taylor Glen in Concord.

Mr. Nail was born on April 23, 1928 in Forsyth County, NC a son of the late
Thomas Leo Nail and Marybelle Rumley Nail. He was a member of St. John's
Lutheran Church of Cherryville. Mr. Nail retired in 1990 as President and
CEO of Cherryville Federal Savings and Loan Association after 38 years of
service. He was a member of the Cherryville Rotary Club and also served in
the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, David Thomas
Nail; a daughter, Sylvia Ann Nail and a sister Elizabeth Nail Southern.

Survivors include a daughter, Katrina Nail Freeman and husband Ronnie of
Mooresville; a son, Lester Claude Nail and wife Lindacarol of Salisbury; a
brother, Thurmon D. Nail of Indian Land, SC; six grandchildren and three
great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and
residents of Taylor Glen for the love and care they provided over the last
16 years.

Visitation will be from 11:45AM to 12:45PM on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in
the Vida Dellinger Parlor at St. John's Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in
the Rhyne-White Chapel at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Ben Kifer
officiating.

A private burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, HVAC
fund, PO Box 100 Cherryville, NC 28021.
