Billy Wayne Whisnant, 66, of 3115 Yates Rd., Shelby, passed away Tuesday May
26, 2015 at home.

Born April 24, 1948 in Cherokee County, SC, he was the step-son of the late
Jesse Turner and Mary Whisnant Turner. He was retired from H&H Pest Control
and was a member of Way of the Cross Free Will Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Judy Ann Hamrick Whisnant; son, Billy
Joseph Whisnant of Shelby; daughter, Christy Clay and husband Steve of
Shelby; stepbrother, Jesse Leroy Turner of Spartanburg; two stepsisters,
Kathy Turner Mabry of Spartanburg and Jeannie Batease of Gaffney; and four
grandchildren, Steven Clay, Samantha Clay, Elliott Whisnant and Parker
Whisnant.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Condolences may be made

The funeral will held at 2:00 PM on Thursday at the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home & Cremation Center Chapel with the Pastor Keith Webb officiating. The
burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
