Binnie R. Bivens Turner
 Binnie R. BivensTurner, 87, of 5584 Hwy 182, Cherrvyille, died Tuesday, July

3, 2012 at Carolina Care Center in Cherryville.

 

Born January 5, 1925 in Catawba County, she was a daughter of the late John

Lee Bivens and Belzora Johnson Bivens. She was retired from SCT as a spinner

and was a member of Bess Chapel United Methodist Church.

 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Barney

Turner; two daughters and son-in-law, Kathy Gales and Linda and Lawrence

Deaver; and ten brothers and sisters.

 

Survivors include a son-in-law, Gary Gales and wife, Velda of Cherryville;

granddaughter, Melanie Bumgarner and husband, Jeff; two great-grandchildren,

Megan and Matthew Bumgarner; and two sisters, Zinnie Talbert and Dorothy

Keever both of Lincolnton.

 

Visitation:  6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Thursday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.

 

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM, Friday at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church.

The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.

 

Officiating: Rev. Roy T. Byers & Rev. Wayne Brittain

 

Burial: Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery
