Mrs. Kennedy was a member of New Harvest Church of God in Gaffney, SC.  She was a homemaker and was formerly employed  by Stamey Stores in Fallston and  Carolina Care in Cherryville.

She  was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Donnelly; husband, Austin Earl Kennedy;  son, Jimmy Kennedy and grandson, Terry Childers Jr.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Illona Kennedy of Lawndale and David and Penny Kennedy of Indian Head, Maryland; two daughters and one son-in-law, Joyce Kennedy of Shelby, and Nancy and David Miller of Bessemer City;  brother, Richard Rumphrey of Arizona; two half-sisters and a half-brother; grandchildren, Dana West, Mark Kennedy, Paul Kennedy, Joshua Kennedy, Joel Kennedy, Daniel Dittman, Jamie Stevens, Lisa Ledford, and Leslie Mauney, great grandchildren, Brandon West, Darian West, Alexandria Kennedy, Jordan Baugh, Dalton Kennedy, Eva Childers, Gabriel Childers, Lucas Helms, Gavin Ledford, Taylor Ledford, and Grayson Ledford.

The visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 7:30PM at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.

The funeral service will be at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel Thursday at 11:00AM with the Rev. Robert Wells officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
