Bob Honeycutt, age 80, of Forest City, passed Monday, June 28, 2021, at the Spartanburg Medical Center.

Bob was born Friday, January 10, 1941 in Rutherford County to the late Lloyd England Honeycutt and Mary Willie Rich Honeycutt. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1960. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as a fire fighter for 30 years. Bob was also a mason of the Cliffside Masonic Lodge 460. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Honeycutt.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty years, Brenda Waters Honeycutt; daughter, Sharon Sherrouse (Chuck) of Lakeland , Fl; brother, Don Honeycutt(Marie) of Shelby, NC; sister, Barbara Givens (John) of Inman, SC, granddaughter, Kinsley Sherrouse; step-grandchildren, Josh, Jake, John, Hannah; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00pm on Saturday, July 3, 2021at Goodes Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Glenn Walker and Reverend Billy Honeycutt officiating. Interment will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Fire Fighter Honors will be provided by the Fire Department Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
