Bobby Dean Blanton, age 77 died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Atrium Healthcare Cleveland. Born in Cleveland County on July 13, 1941, he was the son of the late George Pearson Blanton and Ruby Jeanette Scruggs Vinesett and step father, Coleman Vinesett. Bobby was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church where he served on the Care Team. He retired from Duke Power where he worked as a Lineman for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by a brother, George "Zero" Blanton and a grandson, Ryan Aikens.

Bobby is survived by two daughters, Pamela Farnsworth of Mint Hill and Elizabeth Burneko and husband Chris of Maryland; two sisters, Shirley Europa of Boiling Springs and Grace Constant and husband Robert of Shelby; five grandchildren, Joshua Aikens, Lynsey Farnsworth, Natalie Farnsworth, Marie Burneko, and Michael Burneko; a step brother, Tommy Vinesett and Stan Anthony; six step sisters, Betty Simmons, Martha Green, Maxine and Lem Cochran, Buna Hester, Pat Ledbetter and husband Tommy, Jane Raduly; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Shane Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home
