Bobby Gene Bridges, age 91, of Shelby, North Carolina passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 3, 2024 with his devoted wife by his side.

Born on February 5, 1933, he was the son of the late Earl Bridges & Tency McSwain Bridges. He graduated from Wake Forest University and retired as an engineer from Celanese Corportation. After his retirement, Bobby and his wife Doris opened Bridges Florist & Gifts in Shelby. He also worked part-time as a Funeral Director Assistant at Lutz-Austell Funeral Home.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Doris Lee Ayers Bridges and three children.

He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be truly missed.

The family will hold a private celebration of life in the future.
