Bobby Ray Jones, 90, died Friday, October 21, 2022 at Hospice at Wendover.

A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Noah and Ivey Hulsey Jones. Bobby retired from Arey Oil and was an avid Carolina Basketball and Braves fan. He enjoyed his friends and independence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Durham Jones. He is survived by his sons, Mike Jones and wife Betty of Shelby and Mark Jones and wife Shari of Grand Forks, ND; sister, Betty Calton and husband Aubrey of Forest City; grandchildren, Chad Jones, Sean Karpowich, Adam Jones and Courtney Barbee; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 1:30-2:30pm, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00pm in Cleveland Memorial Park, with the Rev.
