Bobby Reid Jolly, 89, loving father and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.

He was born in Lowell on March 9, 1932, to the late Horace and Irene Martin Jolly. Bobby served in the US Air Force during the Korean War, and retired from Petroleum World after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an accomplished mechanic and skilled maintenance person who was happiest when helping others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Louise Francis Jolly; brothers, HB, Tom, Harvey and Jack; sister, Margaret; and grandson, Austin Jolly. He is survived by his son, Reid Jolly and wife Deborah of Boiling Springs; grandsons, Drew and Wes Jolly; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Jolly and Elaine Francis; and a host of special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00PM, Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Eastside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dale Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church. Burial and military honors will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park, 10:00AM, Monday. Memorials can be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 1165 Wyke Road, Shelby, NC.
