Bobby William Lewis, 87, of Lawndale, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

Born December 14, 1933, in Lincolnton, NC he was the son of the late Dewey and Lena Lewis of Lincolnton. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Doris Jean Parker Lewis.

Left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Shannon Lewis Webster of Cherryville; two sisters, Ruby Morton of Clover, SC and Mary Tucker of Lincolnton and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. As well as many friends he has made along the way.

Bobby worked and retired from Custom Transport in Lincolnton, NC. After retirement he enjoyed gardening, wood working and tinkering with small engines.

He served in the Army in Trieste, Italy and abroad. With an honorable discharge he then served in the reserves. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Key officiating.
