| Boiling Springs Celebrates 100 Years! |

It was an all day, two day celebration for Boiling Springs’ 100th birthday on Friday, September 16th and Saturday, September 17th. Friday festivities began with the Community Choir performing on the steps of Dover Chapel and followed by a historical cemetery walk. There was also a program on “Highlights of the History of Boiling Springs”. The Saturday kick-off was a Centennial Sprint 5K, a Centennial BIke Ride and the Museum opening at 10 a.m. The parade began at 1 p.m. followed by the dedication of a time capsule at 1:45. Inflatables, artists and crafts, ice cream, a car show and face painting filled most of the afternoon. Live entertainment was held on two stages and spotlighted five bands. At 7:30 p.m. tethered rides were offered on a hot air balloon and the big finale featured a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
