Bonnie Sue Ware Lewis
Bonnie Sue Ware Lewis, 91, of Lawndale, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Testa Hospice House, Kings Mountain.
Born in Cleveland County, on September 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Alexander Ware and Hattie Margaret Dellinger Ware. She was retired from West Point Pepperel as a seamstress and was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Charlie Earl Lewis.
She is survived by her son, Roger Lewis and wife Karen of Michigan; daughter, Sheila Gammons and husband Steve of Shelby; five grandchildren, Dustin Lewis, Derek Lewis, Robert Gammons, Patrick Gammons and Margie Vinson; nine great-grandchildren, Avery Lewis, Jake Lewis, Aurora Lewis, Harper Gammons, McCoy Gammons, Cedric Vinson, Jr., Cameron Vinson, Israel Vinson and Quatessica Vinson.
A Graveside Service will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Rose Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Karen Doucette officiating.
Mrs. Lewis will lie in state from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.
