Boys & Girls Club Of Cleveland County 37th Annual Benefit Gala Meets Goal
John Collins was the lucky winner of the 2012 Ford Focus that was raffled off on Friday, June 15th. The annual event helps fund the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland County and the 2012 goal of $45,000 was met. The benefit gala took place in Goforth Hall at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds. In addition to the drawing for the car, a bbq-chicken dinner was featured, followed by a silent auction. A live auction was held at the halfway point during the car raffle. When John Collins was finally reached by phone about 10:05 p.m., he told his wife:  “I think we just won a car!” Their kids started celebrating and the eldest daughter, Erin, has her learners permit and can’t wait to drive the new family car. In the photo, John is shown at the wheel of the Focus, with his four children, John and Meagan, inside the car and daughters, Erin and Emily outside. On the left is Sandra Keeter of Keeter Ford and Rich Berkowitz who sold John the winning ticket #0295.
