Brenda Ann Dawkins-Roseboro

Brenda Ann Dawkins-Roseboro, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Born on July 14, 1949, in Shelby, North Carolina, Brenda lived a life marked by compassion, service, and unwavering faith in the Lord.

Brenda was the cherished daughter of the late Martha Lee Caldwell Dawkins and Robert Jr. Dawkins. From a young age, she has consistently emphasized the importance of family, community, and devotion to God. Brenda carried these values throughout her entire life. She was a proud graduate of Camp High School, Class of 1966.

Brenda dedicated her career to caring for others as a Home Health Aide. Her work was more than a job; it was a ministry. She touched countless lives with her gentle hands, tender heart, and monetary gifts. She truly embodied the spirit of a servant, following Christ's example to love and serve all.

Brenda was blessed with three children: Latarsha Gullatte (Michael), Patrick Roseboro (Jessica), and Christina Roseboro. She poured her love and strength into raising them. Her legacy of love continued through her adored grandchildren: Maurice Gullatte, Miera Guest, Michael Gullatte II, Dameion Roseboro, Jalea Roseboro, D'Asia Rawls, Christian Roseboro, and Kha'Lee Roseboro, as well as her twelve great-grandchildren, who brought her great pride and joy.

Her siblings survived Brenda: Tommy Lee Dawkins (Mary), (Shelby, NC), Verna Sue McClunney (Larry), (Shelby, NC) Shirley Diana Hunt (Jerry), (Charlotte, NC), Roberta Grace Brown (Curtis), (Charlotte, NC), Martha Marie Smith (Hendersonville, NC), George Anthony Dawkins (Kim), (Charlotte, NC). Preceded her in death: her Mother, Father, and two siblings, Linda Kay Dawkins McDuffie and Robert Gary Dawkins.

Brenda's passing leaves a great void in the hearts of all who knew her, but we rejoice knowing that she is now resting in the presence of the Lord. Her spirit, her laughter, and her unwavering faith will continue to live on through her family, friends, and all those she touched during her life.

We celebrate her homegoing, confident in the promise of eternal life and the assurance that we will meet again.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Fairview A.M.E Zion Church in Earl, NC at 2:30 p.m. Burial will take place at the church. The reception of family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Enloe Mortuary was in charge of the services.
