GROVER: Brenda Black Allen, 71, died Monday, October 8, 2018, at Atrium Health in Shelby. A native of Cherokee Co., SC, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ruthie Moore Black.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ann Gladden, Jannie Wilson, Edna Cogdell, and Bennie Moore; and brothers, Theodore, Marcell, and Paul Black

SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband, Grady Dean Allen; daughter, Angela Darlene Allen; sisters, Julie Camp, Louise Lovelace, and Carolyn Godzena; grandsons, Barry Nodine II, Bryant and Wesley Nodine; great-grandchildren, Audrey Grier, Grady, Madison, Garrett, Lily, Hayden, and Brayden Nodine
