Brenda Gail Russ Newton Laws, 80, passed away on April 7, 2025 at Atrium Health - Union in Monroe, NC.

Brenda was born on August 22, 1944 in NC to the late Jack Russ and Daisy Campbell Russ. Brenda was retired from Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Marvin Newton; second husband, Darris McDaniel Laws and a granddaughter, Brittany Newton.

Brenda is survived by her son, Mark Newton and Rita Ryan of Monroe and four grandchildren, Joshua Newton, Hayden Newton and fiancée, Blaze Sigmon, Courtney Newton and fiancé, James McManus and Garrett Newton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:30am at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
