Brenda Gosnell, age 69, of Ellenboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at her residence.
Born June 15, 1947 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Homer Smith and Margaret Lovelace Goode who resides in Mooresboro. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1965 and worked in the delicatessen at Ingles Grocery for fifteen years. She attended Drury Dobbins Baptist Church and enjoyed craftwork and gardening.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Billy Goode.
Besides her mother, survivors include Brenda's fiancé, Chuck Hefner of Ellenboro; three sons, Wesley McCraw and wife, Lisa of Norton, Ohio, Mark McCraw and wife, Angela of Forest City and Chad Gosnell and wife, Lisa Shelton of Mill Spring; brother, Larry Goode and wife, Mary of Forest City. She is also survived by a number of aunts and uncles which includes a special aunt, Judy Sisk of Forest City and uncle, Billy Lovelace of Lawndale and her fur baby, Toby.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Chris Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
