Brenda Jean Thompson Jeter, 79, of 1807 Powerline Drive, Shelby, NC, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at her residence.

Brenda was born September 17, 1946, in Boiling Springs, NC to the late Boyce Hopper and Clara Gertrude Freeman. Brenda graduated in 1963 from Green Bethel High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Jeter; siblings, Valarie Hopper Coleman, Marjorie Ann Maddox, Theresa Lynn Freeman, Vicki Freeman, Carl Thompson, Thomas Thompson, Curtis Freeman, Fred L.Hopper, and Larry E. Hopper; in-laws, Earl and Robbie Jeter, Estine Pettis, Cynthia Moses, Linda Sloan, Patricia Cherry, Charlie and Lille Young, Louise Young Ross, Doris Hunt, Mary Ellen Young, Betty Young, Sarah Mask, William Jeter, Larry Jeter, Coleman Young, and Hilton Young; best friend, Sherri Bass Howell; adopted sons Silas McDowell and Cepeda Boulware.
