Brenda K. Evans, age 65, of Forest City, NC died May 15, 2019 at her residence.
Brenda was born August 1, 1953 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Lawrence Simpkins and Sarah Bartram Simpkins. She was a homemaker and worked as a dietary aid at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. Brenda was of the Episcopal faith and enjoyed reading, word puzzles, watching scary movies and taking care of her "fur babies."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ella Mae.
Those left to treasure her memory include her daughter, Crystal Wilson (Robert) of Forest City; four sons, Jesse Evans II (Michelle), Philip Evans, Joshua Evans and James Evans all of Forest City; three brothers, Albert Simpkins (Mary), David Simpkins (Margaret), Butch Simpkins (Michelle) all of Ohio. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Shani McKillop, Matthew Hopkins (Cassie Finley), Tyler Craig, Tiffany Swink, Misty Swink, Jeffrey Swink, Jr., Lillian Wilson and by two special friends, Johnny Searcy and Jesse Evans, Sr.
A private memorial service will be conducted to honor Brenda's life.
