Brenda Lee Duncan

Brenda Lee Duncan, 55, of Grover, North Carolina, passed away on October 29, 2024 at home.

Born May 6, 1969 in Harrison County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Janice Bowen and the late Dixie Carter.

It is with a heavy heart that I write the obituary for my beloved mother, Brenda Lee Duncan. As her eldest daughter, it is a profound privilege to honor her in words, though no words can truly capture the extraordinary woman who was the foundation of our lives.

Brenda was beautiful inside and out, a selfless soul whose strength and resilience shone through every challenge. She devoted herself to her family, constantly sacrificing her own needs to lift up those she loved. She was married to my father, Rick, for 36 wonderful years, sharing a love that anchored us all.

Brenda was a devoted mother to me, Bryce, and Katey Duncan, and the proud grandmother of Emmett, Owen, Deegan, Leia, and Charlie, her cherished grandchildren who will now have her as their guardian angel. She leaves behind her mother, Janice; her sisters, Wanda and Darlene; and her brother, Wayne. Brenda joins in Heaven her father and her baby girl, Ashli.

Our sorrow is immense, for we have lost the cornerstone of our lives. Yet we are comforted knowing she is free from pain. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Shriner's Hospital, to which she felt she owed so much.

In accordance with her wishes, we will not hold a formal service, but a celebration of her life will take place at a later date.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and support.

A broken-hearted daughter,
Jess Lee
