Brenda Luetta Carpenter Fulbright, 76 of S NC 127 Hwy, Hickory, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Carolina Caring, Newton.

Born in South Carolina on July 12, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Charles Earvin Carpenter and Ruby Thelma Crotts Carpenter. Mrs. Fulbright was retired from Frank's Hosiery Mill and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Dale Fulbright; two brothers, Reuben Carpenter and Olin Carpenter and a sister, Phyllis Davenport.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Fulbright and wife, Rebecca of Hickory and Brent Fulbright and wife, Teresa of Vale; sister, Wanda Willis of Morganton and three grandchildren, Michael Fulbright, Brandon Leatherman and Connor Fulbright.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at Living Word Church with the Rev. Brennan Travis officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Valdese.
