Brenda W. Blanton, age 79 of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 6, 2022.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sidney Blanton of the home, her children, Jennifer Bates and husband Richard of Fort Mill, SC, Jody Blanton and wife Suzanne of Shelby, NC, a grandson, Reid Blanton of Shelby, NC, sister, Kay Putnam and husband Michael of Shelby, NC, two niece's, Allison Hodges and husband Kevin of Shelby, NC, Robyn Kirby Kerr of Wilmington, NC, nephew, Eric Putnam, wife Vicki and son Zeke of Shelby, NC.

Born April 11, 1943, in Cleveland County, Brenda was the daughter of the late Virgil Weaver and Lucille C. Weaver. Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. Brenda had a long successful career as a Registered Nurse and still would talk about special patients that she cared for.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. David Costner. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Samaritan's Purse.
