Brenda Walker Hamrick, 85, passed away Wednesday May 1, 2024 at Fair Haven Nursing Home in Bostic, NC.

Born in Boiling Springs, NC on January 7, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Felton T. and Blanche Holland Walker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joe M. Hamrick and a brother Larry Walker.

Brenda is survived by her sons, Sam Hamrick and wife Darlene and Patrick Hamrick and wife Crystal, her four grandchildren Jane Hamrick, Henry Hamrick, Asa Hamrick and Celeigh Hamrick.

Brenda was a homemaker and a retired teacher's assistant at Boiling Springs Elementary where she shared her passion for children. Brenda had a deep love for her sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. She was active in her Sunday School Class and cherished " The Birthday Group" who were her lifelong friends.

A graveside service will be held Friday May 3, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Cleveland Memorial Park with Rev. Keith Dixon of Boiling Springs Baptist Church officiating. The family will gather at the home of Sam and Darlene, 113 Riverchase Drive Shelby, NC for casual drop ins.
