Brenda Wood Fox, age 75, of Forest City, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Born April 26, 1942 in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Frank O. Wood and Mary Chapman Wood. Brenda worked for Cone Mills for many years and also worked in the bakery at Ingles. She loved family get togethers, going to the mountains and listening to country music. Brenda was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of forty-four years, Tony Ryan Fox, Sr.; two sisters, Clara Jo Cole and Wanda Murray and a brother, Jerry Wood.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Regina Fox Owens of Ellenboro; two sons, Tony Ryan Fox, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Rutherfordton and Frankie Fox and wife, Regina of Forest City; seven grandchildren, Michael Moore, Brandon Fox (Brandy), Jamie Fox, Jordan Moore, Chris Fox, Jared Fox and Elizabeth Fox; four great-great-grandchildren, Alexis Moore, Adrian Fox, Anthony Fox and Ally Fox.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole and Reverend Lamar Hewitt officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
