Brian Keith Baber, age 53, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his residence.

Brian was born Thursday, July 11, 1968 in Rutherford County. He worked as a carpenter for many years and as a truck driver for Vassey's Wrecker Service. He loved playing music with his guitar and was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Baber.

Left to cherish fond memories are his mother and father, Linda Vassey and Danny Vassey of Bostic; father, David Baber of Bostic; daughter, Sierra Baber (Scott White) of Forest City; son, Brandon Baber (Sierra) of Cliffside; stepdaughter, Samantha Bailey of Rutherfordton; sister, Sherry Crain (Mike) of Rutherfordton; half-brother, Kevin Baber of Bostic; stepbrothers, Aaron Vassey (Elizabeth) of Spindale and Michael Vassey of Ellenboro; and stepsister, Sonya Vassey of Forest City. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Branson Baber, Xavier White and Aurora White.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Southern Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Dylan Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
