Bruce Camp" Local Fishing Report March 30, 2017

Kosa
The retirees fished Lake Wylie recently, with David O'Shields and Doug Sparrow picking up the win with 5.40. Larry Melton and James Osborne were second with 4.39 and third went to JR Garland and Rick Maires with 3.91 which was also big bass of the day. This week they will be on Lake Norman.
CCBC
The Cleveland County Bass Club has fished Lakes Norman and Fishing Creek in recent weeks. At Lake Norman, Jamie Canipe brought in 9.08 to take the win. Larry Melton had 7.66 to edge out John Rankin with 7.18. Nick Beaver was fourth with 5.46 and fifth went to Robbie Rush with 4.36. Nick Beaver had a 3.02 large mouth to take big bass honors. On Fishing Creek, it was Nick Beaver taking the win with 14.18 followed by John Rankin with 13.22. Robbie Rush was third with 12.33 with Roger Beaver close behind with 12.02. Fifth with 9.42 was Rick LaMountain.
The CCBC recently lost a member, Helen Melton, who was the first female to join the club. She fished until her health declined, and she past on January 18 of this year.
Moss
The Thursday night events have started back up on Moss Lake. Last week, Charles and Maverick Canipe brought in 11.66 to grab the win, and they anchored that with big bass of the evening, a 3.20 large mouth. Second went to Jason Hinson and Josh with 9.41. These events will continue through the summer months, beginning at 6 pm and fishing til 9:30 pm. There is a $30 entry fee and this does include big bass entry. All N.C. and Moss Lake license are also required.
