CCBC
The Cleveland County Bass Club had their fish off recently on Lake Wylie. Tom Mayhew picked up that win with 11.90, he was followed by long time friend John Rankin with 10.30. Rankin had big bass of the day with a 4.44 largemouth. Jimmy Melton took third with 5.00.
The CCBC also fished their first of two April events, this one on Mountain Island Lake, this past weekend. Roger Beaver got that win with 8.82 with James Osborne close behind with 8.16, both had a five bass limit. Maverick Canipe had 4 bass weighing 7.96 and captured third place.He anchored his catch with a 3.46 largemouth, that took big bass honors for the day. John Rankin had 5.84 and was fourth with Jamie Canipe bringing in 5.26 for fifth.
Moss
Readers may remember how bad it was last Thursday night, so the tournament director for the Moss Lake weekly Thursday event called everybody and moved the event to Friday night. Chris Carroll and Caja Ormand got the win with 13.11, as well as big bass of the night with a 4.85 largemouth. Ronnie Beason and Chris Edwards had 9.58 and were second. Arnold Ledford and Earl Mace had 8.11 and took third with Chuck Camp fishing solo and getting fourth with 7.19. Curtis Carpenter and Jon Zimbelman had 6.23 and settled in fifth. Anglers be sure Arnold has your phone number in case something like this was to come up again.
