CCBC
The Cleveland County Bass Club fished their April event on Lake Hickory. Nick Beaver picked up the win with a catch of 18.96. He anchored that with a 6.50 large mouth that took big bass of the day. Second place with 13.20 was Derek Barkley, followed by Roger Beaver 11.98, Rick LaMountain 10.38 and John Rankin 10.24.
The CCBC also fished their Top Ten Fish-off this past weekend on Fishing Creek. Jimmy Melton brought in 10.36 to take that win. Robby Rush had 8.46 and was second, followed closely by Roger Beaver with 8.34. Larry Melton had 7.88 to take fourth, and rounding out the top five was Tammy Melton with 4.14. Big bass was a 3.08 brought in by Roger Beaver.
Moss
Two weeks ago at Moss Lake at the Thursday night shootout, 24 boats came out. Trever Harrell and Trey Bradford got the win and big bass. Their total was 14.14 and their big bass was 4.06. Jonathan Webster and Nathan Hager had 11.72 to land in second place. Jeremy Bouldin and Tyler Ward finished in third with 11.20 and a close fourth was Richard Emery and Scott Crotts with 11.08.
Last week, 33 boats fished and it was Charles and Maverick Canipe getting the win with 15.80, they also had big bass with a 4.86. Jeremy Bouldin and Tyler Ward claimed second with 13.92. Jason Rhodes and Jody Black had 11.90 to get third place. Buddy and Michael Black came in a close fourth with 11.84. Chris and Jim Carroll settled in fifth with 11.12.
Don't forget, every Thursday night from 6:00 - 9:30 these events take place. David and Larry are keeping what Arnold started alive and they run a good event!
