Kosa
The retirees fished Lake Wylie last week and knew going in it would be better than the previous weeks event on Lake Norman. Ronnie Humphries brought in 10.0 and captured the win, Larry Melton was second with 8.95 and in third was Ken Johnson and Fred Wright with 7.30. John Black and Roger McNeely had a 2.90 largemouth and that was big bass of the day. This week its back to Lake Norman and hopes for revenge against the lake.
Moss
Twenty seven boats made it out to last Thursday’s weekly bass tournament on Moss Lake, and if memory serves me correctly it was the first week, weather really wasn’t a factor. Buddy and Michael Black took first place with 13.43 and edged out Bryan Thrift and Matt Arey who had 13.08. Jody Black and Travis Hamrick had 11.47 and were third. Jimmy Weaver and Randy Moss got fourth with 11.05 followed by JR Garland and Ronnie Beason with 10.59. Big bass of the evening was a 4.86 largemouth brought in by the winning team of Buddy and Michael Black.
Bass Caster Federation
The Bass Caster Federation Club fished Lake Hickory Saturday. Derek Angel had 15.12 and won while Chris Hoopaugh had 13.0 and was second. Chuck Camp took third with 12.80. Michael Smith had 11.88 and was fourth with Mark Swink getting fifth with 11.30. Gene Sparks had big bass of the day with a 4.22 largemouth. The Federation has some openings for anyone interested in joining a BASS Federated Cub. If interested call Chris @ 704-473-3922.
Bass Casters
Mark Swink got the win Sunday in the Bass Casters April event on Lake Hickory with 14.1. Randy Scarborough had 12.8 and was second followed by Chris Hoopaugh with 11.15. Tom Gavin had 4..5 and was fourth with Terry Knight getting fifth with 3.11. Swink also had big bass of the day with a 4.0 largemouth. The next event will be the Top Ten fish off this weekend, with members meeting at 4am at the old Wal-Mart building and drawing for a lake. The May event will be on Lake Rhodhiss May 12 from 6-3
